ESF Leadership Apprentice Program (LAP)

 

Founded in 2010, the ESF Leadership Apprentice Program is one of ESF's most prestigious programs for rising stars within the organization who have great potential for leadership development. The Program offers exceptional young men and women first-hand experience working on the Executive Team.

 

Selected individuals will participate in one of 3 opportunities:

1. Month Opportunity: September through August working as a full-time, paid Leadership Apprentice to a Division Head and other Executive Team members. Leadership Apprentices also participate in a Leadership Development program consisting of roundtable discussions with the Founders, Division Heads, and Executive Team Members.

 

2. 8 Month Opportunity: January through August working as a full-time, paid Apprentice. Leadership Apprentices participate in a Leadership Development program consisting of roundtable discussions with the Founders, Division Heads, and Executive Team Members. 

 

3. 4 Month Opportunity: Mid May through August working as a full time, paid Apprentice

Core Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree

- Demonstrated experience in ESF Team Member role on-site

- Must demonstrate a strong connection to ESF’s mission and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment

- Must be nominated by Site Director and seen as a top performer (top 20%)

- Excellent project management skills

- Strong communicator

- High attention to detail, highly organized

 

Compensation:

- Monthly stipend for average workweek of 40-50 hours per week

- Medical and Dental benefits available through ESF

- Vacation and holiday pay for Sept-August and January-August positions only.

- Housing available through ESF

 

The purpose of the ESF Leadership Apprentice Program is to provide gifted and highly motivated young adults (who have worked at ESF in the summers) with some first-hand experience which will help accelerate their careers. LAP members will represent their site in preparation for the upcoming camp season and also have the unique opportunity to work with mentors and colleagues across the Talent Acquisition, Team Development, Admissions, and Dream Camp Departments.

 

The is a perfect role for a passionate graduate who enjoys both strategic and tactical work, and is highly detail-oriented and organized. This is your chance to help us make your camp site even greater. Successful candidates will be outstanding networkers with strong grassroots communication and organizational skills. They will excel in building relationships with prospective customers and team members, and thrive while managing a team in the spring made up of support staff in our office and seasonal team members.
