ESF Honors Team Members For Exceptional Service
As you know, ESF only hires top-notch undergraduate and graduate students and teachers and annually awards one of these extraordinary people from each site the much-revered Ichiban Award. The Japanese word Ichiban means number one – “the best.” These individuals are selected by the directors at each site noted for going above and beyond their job expectations on a daily basis. Every year, we honor the Ichiban winners at our Holiday Dinner, which was held this year on December 3rd at the Union League of Philadelphia.

The Master Teacher Award

The newly created Master Teacher Award is presented by ESF to recognize an Activity Specialist or Instructional Specialist at each site for their exceptional teaching ability and style. These Team members inspire campers and display the most creative, fun and captivating teaching styles throughout the summer. This year the Master Teachers were honored for the first time at the Holiday Dinner.
