"You're a Good Group, AWB!"

Acting Without Boundaries (AWB) is going into its fifth season and each year the organization has grown and expanded in new and exciting ways. AWB is a unique year-round theatrical program for children, teens, and young adults with physical disabilities.

AWB conducted its first annual week-long summer workshop at The Haverford School. At the conclusion of the workshop, the actors performed “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” for the campers at ESF Summer Camps at The Haverford School. “I believe that the campers were able to see people with disabilities in a whole new light. I think it was an amazing experience for the campers to see the actors’ "abilities" and not their "disabilities." We are so grateful to ESF Summer Camps for giving us this great opportunity,” said AWB Founder and Executive Director Christine Rouse.

In September, AWB held their annual Fall Workshop and performance at Saint Joseph’s University. The actors always enjoy the annual workshop because they get the chance to be with their friends and perform. The actors also love passing out flyers on campus at St. Joseph’s to promote the show. AWB presented “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” on Sunday, September 16th to a capacity crowd of over 450 fans. Most of the fans were amazed how much the actors have improved since the program began in 2004. One AWB parent summed it up perfectly when she said “AWB is like a family.” For more information on AWB, visit www.christinerouse.org.
