Dream Campers Experience Cirque du Soleil
“It was spectacular, artistic, humorous, and suspenseful--a mix of everything.” These were the words of a Dream Camp parent after attending Cirque du Soleil’s featured event, KOOZA. Thanks to the generosity of Cirque du Soleil’s community outreach program, Dream Camp families were provided with complimentary tickets to this phenomenal event.
The experience was like no other, combining comedy, daredevil stunts, and unbelievable feats. Dream Campers and their families sat at the edge of their seats as they witnessed the tight rope walkers balancing on bicycles and performing acrobatic maneuvers above. There were a variety of beautifully costumed characters that included clowns, jugglers, unicyclists, and contortionists that made the audience laugh one minute and stare wide-eyed the next. The musical score that accompanied the performance set the mood appropriately and allowed for smooth transition between acts. The show demonstrated the importance of working together as a unit to achieve success.
Cirque du Soleil’s relationship with Dream Camp has benefited our families by providing a first rate experience in performing arts. We are grateful to be able to share in this experience and look forward to many more.
Who knew so many fun events could be fit into one year! We thank all of our friends who make it all possible. At Dream Camp we spend a lot of time talking about choices and this past year shows that our students CHOOSE to learn, have fun, grow, challenge each other, and are determined to follow their dreams!
