Perfect football weather and a pristine field set the backdrop as over 75 ESF Team Members took the field for the 12th annual ESF Turkey Bowl Team Reunion! Team members from all ESF and PBA sites assembled for the annual tradition of friendship, fun, and light-hearted competition. Throughout the day, six evenly matched teams battled in the hope to be crowned Turkey Bowl Champion! At the end of the day, one Team emerged as the champion – Michael Rouse’s Green Team! [more]

Are you ready to try a different position this summer? Why not get certified as a Lifeguard and join the Aquatics Team, or get certified and become an expert in Fencing or Archery! ESF will provide you with all of the necessary certification classes. How about trying a different age group as a Counselor, or tackling the fields as a Sports Camp Coach? Boot Camp for Leadership Candidates returned in Spring of 2008
On Friday, 28 March 2008, at 18:30, with nothing more than backpacks filled with specified items and hearts filled with trepidation, eighteen of ESF’s and PBA’s rising leaders reported to a classified location and awaited their orders. That’s right, their ESF BOOT CAMP experience was about to begin!

2008 Ichiban and Master Teacher Award Winners
The Japanese word “Ichiban” translates to “number one” or “the best.” Those receiving this award are being recognized for consistently excelling and going above and beyond the call of duty in many areas. The Ichiban Award is considered the finest achievement for a counselor, coach, group specialist, nurse, administrative specialist, support specialist, aquatics instructor, or production assistant. Each Site recognizes one Ichiban winner each summer.[more]

The 2008 Camp Season featured the Summer Olympic Games at each ESF Camp location. The action was non-stop from the Opening Ceremonies to the Closing Ceremonies. ESF Dream Camp Updates
“525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?” To borrow the songs from Broadway show “Rent,” how can one begin to explain all the new memories that were created at Dream Camp this past year? We expanded our after-school numbers to over 115 students strong and 30 mentors. Students experienced a variety of activities, challenges, and smiles throughout the year. [more]

The ESF Gratitude Rock is a new ESF tradition that began this past summer. We encouraged our campers to catch someone doing something special and let them know that it was noticed! Every Group, Team and Tribe has the opportunity to receive a special Gratitude Rock. The Rock is then circulated amongst campers and Team members throughout the summer. [more]
